Flowers never looked so smart as at the Dean Club Celebration at St Norbert College a few weeks ago.
I feel very lucky to be sharing these photos with you since I am admittedly not a great photographer (thank goodness for Instagram!). All of the photos were taken by a student photographer, Nikki, who I'm sure you'll all agree with me when you see the pics, definitely has a bright future ahead. As for me, I'll stick to the floral designing...
Half of the tables featured stacked books and textured votives provided by Seize the Day Events and we accented with apothecary style bud vases and classic silver mint julep cups. The centerpieces were in a neutral yet fresh palette of white and greens with black accents. Anemones, ornithogalum arabicum, galax leaves, green dianthus and kale added a botanical note and were the perfect addition to the softer fluffy blooms of stock, and hydrangea.
For the remaining tables I wrapped looped book pages around cylinder vases and topped it off with those pretty and fresh blooms. The look combined to create a classy yet casual feel to the event which is exactly the vibe we were looking for.
The Foyer table was set with a tall cylinder vases with lampshade and LED lights which Seize the Day Events cleverly provided. Inside and around the vase was more of the botanical blooms in action. Those tall squigly looking ones are a personal favorite of mine, Ornithogalum arabicum. Let's face it, I have a lot of favorites though... : )
