As a designer there are often ideas or concepts you always dream of wanting to bring to reality. You are waiting for that moment when you sit down with a client and realize, they could possibly be your chance to execute that bouquet of all cattleya orchids or let you do suspended centerpieces over their reception tables or use navy blue and white striped ribbon on their bouquets... All you designers out there you know what I'm talking about. Thats what makes Wedding Shows so fun. It's a wonderful thing called carte blanche! Designers Choice.
Blue is and always has been a popular color for weddings. When used properly it can be quite wonderful. It's classic, fresh and slightly preppy quality was what inspired me to do a table scape centered around navy blue and fuschia. By incorporating the blue into the linens, ribbons and vintage books I was able to not worry about finding blue flowers... Oddly enough, blue doesn't make many naturally occuring appearances in nature.
Fuschia anemones comprised the mock bridesmaid bouquet for this pretty & preppy look. Navy and white striped ribbons make a eye catching DIY runner and my retro vintage books add a hint of that vintage nostalgia trend that is so popular right now. Wooden hedge boxes filled with lush compact gardeny blooms in vibrant hues of pink round out the look. With pops of color this bold you don't need big to get wow.
The tall columns in the back hold two hanging baskets, another signature look from Ebb & Flow. When your looking for a wow factor these are a great way to add a pop of color to the room. If your getting married in the summer months it makes a stunning centerpiece set atop a clear glass cylinder vase.
Lots of wonderful brides attended the show this summer and we look forward to working with you on your weddings. If you are interested in having Ebb & Flow Flowers as your wedding florist call us for your complimentary consultation today!
